Oregon is increasing fines for carriers and ending the Trusted Carrier Partner program

Starting January 1, 2026, the fine for home moving companies operating in Oregon without a certificate will increase from $1,000 to $3,000, GoCDL.us informs.

This change aims to protect residents from unethical practices such as overcharging, damaging items, or stealing property.

The Trusted Carrier Partner program is being discontinued due to budget constraints. Previously, program participants received the following privileges: passing through weighing stations without stopping, exemption from the requirement to post a deposit, and inspection only if there is a reason.

Trusted Carrier Partner plates issued previously do not need to be removed or returned. Starting from January 1, 2026, they will lose any operational significance and will not provide any benefits.
